FLIP is fully funded by the promoters and select Angel investors. Our first employee, Arun Patro (XIMB, '06 batch) , FLIP's V.P - Sales, Marketing & Technology, is also the first non-promoter investor into the company. Our four Angel investors comprise senior professionals who have invested both their faith and money with us. Here are a couple of profiles:  | Mr. Aroon Raman has a post-graduate degree in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi and an MBA from Wharton School, USA. Mr. Raman was M.D of Raman Boards Ltd. from 1994-2006. During his stint, the company became the third largest player in the transformer board market globally with a sales presence in more than 25 countries . In 2007,Mr Raman divested the global insulation business of Raman Boards to ABB- the world's largest power products company- and is now M.D of Raman Fibre Science, a research & innovation company in the area of technical non-wovens. Mr.Aroon Raman is currently also Vice Chairman of CII Karnataka , and an independent Director on the board of Sundaram Finance Ltd. | | Debashish Duttagupta is the Head of Investments for Citi Bank Asia Pacific's Wealth Management business, based in Hong Kong. He has banking experience of over 17 years in various roles, including foreign exchange, treasury, derivatives, credit trading and fixed income. He is an IIM Calcutta alumnus (batch of '92). | | Our other two investors cannot be named due to confidentiality clauses by their employers. They are both CXO levels in leading Financial Institutions - in India and Singapore. |
